How do you answer the question “tell me about yourself?”
It’s a daunting question, but also one that we’re frequently asked when we meet someone new, introduce ourselves during a job interview, or are drafting the “About” page on our website. After interviewing hundreds of authors, creatives, and small business owners, I’ve found that most people know the answers to these questions - they just need a little prompting! That’s where I come in. My name is Aleenah Ansari, I love writing Q&As with authors and entrepreneurs about their non-linear career paths, the values that show up in their work, and advice that they would share with someone who wanted to be where they are today.
New Year, New Bio ($75)
I’m testing out a new offering catered to small business owners, creatives, and authors who want a bio and About page that speaks to their unique perspective:
What we’ll do together: I’ll start by sending you some reflection questions that you can noodle on before we chat. Then, we’ll have a 30-minute interview, where I’ll ask you not just what you do in your business, but who you are. What was the catalyst for starting your business? What do you want people to know about you that they wouldn’t find on your website? What values underpin your work?
What you’ll get: I’ll send you a short and long bio and an edited version of our Q&A, which you can leverage on your website, social media, or press kit!
